How to crochet the sunflower square.

1.    Start with a magic circle, or chain 4, and slip stitch into the first chain. Chain 3, Make 11 double crochet into the ring.  Close the circle and slip stitch into the top of the chain 3 =12 double crochets

2.    Chain 1, add a single crochet into the same stitch. Make two single crochets into every other stitch around the circle slip stitch into chain 1 =24 double crochets

3.    Chain 3 dc3tog (There have to be 4 loops left on the hook before pulling through) into the same stitch, ch2, skip the next stitch. *  Dc4tog (There have to be 5 loops left on the hook before pulling through) into the next stitch, chain 2, skip the next stitch Repeat * 10 times =12 petals

4.    Chain 3, make 2 double crochets in the same stitch, chain 3, and make 3 double crochets into the same stitch.

5.    Make 3 half-double into the next two chain spaces, when you reach the corner chain space Chain 3, Make 3 double crochets, chain 3, and make 3 double crochets into the same space. *Make 3 half-doubles into the next two chain spaces. When you reach the corner chain space Chain 3, make 3 double crochets, chain 3, and make 3 Repeat* 2 more times. This will make 48 stitches in total. Slip stitch into the top of the 3rd chain.

Make 20 Squares or as many as you like depending on how long you want your scarf to be.


Connecting the squares

Use stitch markers to hold the right sides of two squares together, wi. With a 5mm hook, insert new yarn into the chain space Ch1, and add 2 sc into the ch space, Make 1 sc into the front and back loops of both squares. When you reach the ch spaces, add 2 sc into the space. Fasten off afterward. When you Have joined two squares together con, continue the steps to connect the 18 squares together.
